Thank you for considering me as your child's piano teacher!
I am a new piano teacher in the Emery County area. I took my first piano lessons when I was nine years old, and I began playing in church only a year and a half later when my family moved from Pennsylvania to East Carbon, Utah, where my father became the pastor of Living Water Baptist Church in Sunnyside, since the church was so small that there was no one else who played the piano. I also began helping with children's programs at the church at an early age, and quickly discovered my passions for both teaching children and playing the piano. I was still in high school when I first combined those two passions by teaching piano lessons, and later I prepared to teach piano professionally by earning my bachelor's degree in Music Education and studying piano under Dr. You Ju Lee at Toccoa Falls College in northeastern Georgia. As a college student, I also taught piano lessons with the Ruth E. Marsden Music Preparatory School located on my college campus and a piano class at a local Spanish-speaking church. Shortly after graduating in the spring of 2014, I moved back to Utah and married Jesse Jensen, a Cleveland native, and the following spring we welcomed our baby girl. Today I am excited to again use my passions for teaching children and playing the piano to share the joy of music with students in the Emery County area.
